7 month update/school has started!!

I have been meaning to do a "What are you up to these days?" 7 month update but my time has been pretty much dedicated to work/getting ready for school.  Between decorating my new room,  meetings, making copies (been very hard considering there is only one copier for the whole school), learning a new curriculum (still teaching math but a whole new way of presenting it!), getting ready for football - to being pulled here and there I have had no computer time.  :(  My goal for this new school year is trying to find a balance between work and home.  Hopefully once I get in a routine things will slow down and seem less stressful. 
Now onto more important things like my sweet lil boy whom I miss so much during the day.
Chance this is what you are up to these days:

• You have two bottom teeth and we recently noticed your top front teeth are somewhat poking through and another top tooth.  You seem to be handling teething pretty good so far.  Nothing a lil tylonel wont help.  
• You are crawling everywhere.  You love pulling up on the chair, the couch, the fireplace, vases with plants...anything you can get your hands on.  You are quite brave.  You let go and and sometimes face plant.  You are learning though.  
•  You dont like peaches at all.  (that was mommy's favorite fruit) you will close your mouth so tight nothing is getting in.  You pretty much like everything else thus far.  
• You can hold your own bottle and sippy cup but you prefer I do it for you. ha!  You definitely have a mind of your own! :)
• You are talking all the time (mumbling) it is the sweetest sound!!!
• You love keys, cell phones and remote controls.  Once you spot one of them you are on a mission to get your hands on them.  
• You love baths and the swimming pool.  
• You are sleeping a lil better at night.  Night before last you slept 8 hrs. straight so I know it can happen!!  :)  Most nights you wake up around 3 take a bottle and then sleep til about 6:00 somedays 7.  
• You wear 6-9 month clothes mainly but you can wear some 6-12 month clothes too.   
• You love Stella and want play with her bones and dog bowls often  (Stella isnt too sure about you just yet, she will lay by you but when you pet her/pull her hair she doesnt like it, ha) Now Zoe (Aunt Robin's dog) loves you and will let you do whatever you want to her.  haha
• When you crawl you like to take something with you.  For example, your blue hammer, red bat or the hammer you have at Nana's house.  It's so funny...you use it like a cane to help you slide across the floor. 

Chance you are so special to your mommy and daddy and we thank the Lord everyday for blessing our lives with you.  You are growing up way too fast but we are enjoying every minute of it!!

Lots of Emotions

First of all this precious lil guy is 7 months old today (well actually tomorrow - but by this posts it will be the 17th)  where has the time gone!

Chance and Daddy

Do you think we look alike?  Some say yes, some say he is his daddy made over.  I dont know though. :)

I love him more today than yesterday.  Is that possible?

Today was the first "official" day back to school for teachers.  I have had a lot of emotions going on today.  Sad, excitement, guilt, anxious, tired...can you have all of these at one time???

Starting over at a new school is so hard.  Being the "newbee" is also hard.  You dont know how things are run, you dont know where things are, you dont know the ins and outs.  But in time I know I will find my place.  (The place I want to be is home taking care of my lil boy!) I am so thankful for my mom getting to take care of him.  Thank you mom (and Robin until she moves and gets a job!) for taking care of Chance. :)

I miss my friends back at CHS!  (Deidre, Lisa and Tiffany! Yall are so missed)  There are others too :)

I am ready though - fresh start!  I think it is all going to be ok.  I am staying positive and going to make the most of it! 

I better get to bed while Chance is asleep...I only have an hour, maybe 20 min...we just never know around here until he wakes up.   :)

Happy 7 months Chance.  Mommy and Daddy love you so very much!

Crawling and Standing

This picture is a family photo that will be in the football program.  We had a shrimp boil par - tay a week or so ago.  It was so good.  BUT SO HOT!!  We got to meet a lot of new faces and that was fun!  But can I say again how HOT it was.  Poor Chance he was miserable. 

Chance is EVERYWHERE nowadays.  We really have to watch him or he will be in tv cords, my dried flowers that I have out for decoration, the dog bowls, his monitor cords, the dog bed or even trying to eat his sister's dog bones. ha!  He basically loves everything he is not suppose too. :)  He is crawling like a champ and pulling up on window seals and couches.  He thinks he is so BIG TIME.  I love it.

This same day we were at my moms and she had a friend of hers stop by and she has 3 boys - 6, 4 and 9 months.  Chance and Caleb (9 mon old -weighs 25 lbs!!) played and it was so fun watching them.

We went to Ennis this last weekend to visit Doug's family and went to my friend Jerod's wedding.  The wedding was outside!!!  SO SO SO HOT!

We started back to work this week - well inservice days and Doug and my Dad have been having 2 a days for football.  Long days for them.  I am so sad to go back to work.  I miss my baby.  :(

Par-TAY

Today was one of our family friends/coaches families lil baby boy's 1st birthday party.  (what a sentence)  Anyways, Braedon is the lil boy's name and his Dad's name...well...we call him Cheeseburger.  Cheeseburger went to high school with Doug and I and my dad was his football coach and now Cheese coaches with Doug and my dad.  Anyways, lil Cheese and Chance love playing with each other.  They do the "baby talk".  It is so fun watching them.  The pics below are of Braedon and Chance last night at my parents house playing.  I didnt get any of them together at the party today..oops.

This was Chance this morning before church.  Isnt his outfit so cute!?  We visited a different church this morning.  It was the contemporary service, which I love.  I love to sing and worship!  Chance is crawling like a champ now and all he wanted was to get down and crawl around.
