Packers or Steelers?

It is NO Question who we are going for - The Green Bay Packers.  I have always been a Packer fan because of Favre but this time its because Graham Harrell is one of their quarterbacks.  Graham's dad, Sam, married Doug and I and Kathy, Graham's mom is my mom's very best friend and Doug and I graduated with Graham's older brother, Zac.  We have a special place in our hearts for the Harrell family.  My family has known them since I was in 1st grade, we moved together, we vacationed together, road trips together, fought with each other, hated each other and loved each other.  We are family.  So it is bitter sweet to see Graham getting to go to the Super Bowl...in TEXAS...on his home turf!  We are so excited! 
But if you know Graham he doesnt worry much on "material things" but what is important, I guess you could say...or you could say he is just a MAN.  haha.  The link below is so so so funny.  This boy is making so much money yet he cant spring for a few "necessities" to live.  Watch and you shall see what I am talking about....

Orange Leaf

 Saturday Night we all went to dinner at Mammacitas (best fajitas ever!) and then over to this new frozen yogurt place my sister has been raving about called the Orange Leaf. 

 They are both so excited and love the pineapple frozen yogurt with fresh strawberries on top! 

 They had the neatest chairs.  Everything was orange and white.  The spoons to eat the ice cream were so cool too.  I should have taken a picture.  Chance was excited too. 

This picture has a shadow but if you look close Chance is saying mmmmm....to the bite of yogurt my dad just gave him. 

It was a fun night

12 Month Check-Up

Chance had his one year check-up this past Tues.  He got 3 shots.  He cried for a moment and then I distracted him by letting him turn the lights on and off.  He is really into helping with the light switches.  :) 
He really hasnt gained much weight.  He weighs 22.6 pounds which is the 45th percentile.  Munchkin just is so busy he burns all the calories he is eating.  He is 30 1/2 inches tall though.  He is in the 75th percentile on height.  However, drum roll please....baby boy is in the 90th percentile in head circumference.  He has a head full of brains and stubburness, lol.  Just what we visioned...a skinny, tall boy with a big head.  Just kidding.  He is perfect in every way. 
The dr said he is right on track developmentally.  Above average...that's my boy!!  Now if we can just tackle this SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT.  :)  Chance has a different agenda on that subject.  He enjoys mommy getting up and rocking him back to sleep in the weeeee hours of the night.  But then he will trick me and sleep through the night and then back to the weeee hours....he is a little stinker!

He also got other goodies.  Robin and Kyle bought him DRUMS.  Thank you guys so much! haha.  I need to take a picture of the drum set.  Its super cool.  He got a few other things too! 

Off to bed!  Thank Goodness its Friday tomorrow!!

One year ago TODAY God blessed our lives with this precious little boy.

Everyday I love you more and more.  Is that possible?

Who wouldnt fall in love with this sweet face.  This last year has been a sleepless year :) however the best year of my life.  Watching you grow and change each and every single day brings us so much happiness and lots of laughs.  You are getting such a personality and it shows more and more.

You have so much energy and fire.  You are independent yet want us with you always.  If one of us isnt in the room you come looking for us. 

I love saying this...you are a momma's boy for the most part.  Especially when you are tired. 
One of the things you are doing right now that your dad and I find super funny is when your daddy comes to hug me or gets close to me you start screaming or running away crying.  We have no idea why you are doing this.  I guess you think mommy is all yours and there is no sharing.  haha.  Daddy will say "come get mommy" or "Im gonna get mommy" and you make this face like no you arent and start your fake crying.

You are sleeping a little better.  Not through the night yet.  You will go about 6 hours and then want a bottle.  (scared the dr is going to tell me to take you off the bottle, but let me reassure you - if you want a bottle at 3 am mommy is going to give you one)  You took a 2 hour nap with me today and it was heavenly.  Snuggling with you makes me so happy.  You wake up so happy too. 

You point at things more and more.  We can tell you are trying to tell us things and we try our best to figure it out.  You love love love music and dancing.  We can turn music on and when we say "can you dance" you start twisting and turning your head and smiling so big.  We love watching you.  One day when mommy and Nana went walking your daddy had music playing in the computer room and your got in his lap and went to sleep.  When mommy came in I was sooooooo surprised because that is not your NORM.  Your daddy was very proud of himself. haha

Chance we look forward to what this next year brings.  Happy Birthday Sweet Sweet boy.  It has been a fun filled weekend.  Back to work tomorrow.  Mommy and Daddy are glad MLK day was today, that way we could stay at home with you and celebrate you turning one!!

Chance's 1st Birthday Party

Today we celebrated Chance's 1st birthday.  He really turns one at 4:03 am tomorrow morning.  One year ago we were in the hospital patiently awaiting his arrival. :) 
Chance got lots of presents.  He had such a good time.  The party was a success and we celebrated with wonderful friends and family.  Enjoy the pics!  (By the way I was so excited about the cake.  It turned out perfect!  and it tasted good too)
