Happy Anniversary/Happy Father's Day

Today Doug and I celebrate being married for 6 years.  We went and had dinner at Outback last night and went to a few places at the outlet mall before coming home.  Chance stayed over at my parents while we went out and he played and keep everyone quite busy playing baseball and fetching golf balls in the swimming pool.  (That's one of his favorite things to do is hit them in the water and have Poppa go get them.)

I am going to use this post to do a late Father's day post too.  Doug is a great daddy.  Chance loves his daddy to pieces.  I have a great Dad too.  Both of them would do anything for their families. 

I think this is by far my most favorite picture of Doug and Chance.  And yes...Doug is wearing shorts. ha!  Love these two so much!

*Chance and I went to Schlitterbahn with a friend of mine and her little girl
*Lots of playing baseball in the house, outside, in our sleep.  We literally have to take every single piece of sporting equipment we own every where we go.  Major meltdowns if we forget a piece.  It's dramatic.  And very exhausting...
*Eating chocolate covered strawberries (Doug made these for me for our anniversary)
*Spent the day on Lake Travis with my bestie, Ashley and her sweet family - we had an amazing time.
*We spend many nights at my parents sitting by the pool watching Chance play and entertain us

 Chance actually got on the tube with Doug and liked it until we got into some rough water.

We leave for our cruise REALLY REALLY soon...cannot wait!

1st teeth cleaning

Last week I had a teeth cleaning appointment with my sister (who by the way is the best dental hygentist I have ever been to!)  After she finished cleaning my teeth she attempted to clean Chance's teeth and look around to see if she saw any cavities (which I am so afraid for him to have - a Mommy fear). Plus, last fall he fall on the tile floor in our kitchen and broke his front tooth and we have been watching it ever since.  He did pretty good for the first time.  He didnt really like when she tried to polish them because it vibrated his teeth too much.  Here are a few pics we snapped during the visit.

 We are getting so sad because my sister and her husband are moving next week.  :(  We are going to miss seeing them almost every other day!! 

 He loved the machine that sucks the water out of your mouth.  He is a cute mess!

Water Table Fun/Family Night Out

I wanted to buy Chance a water table last year and finally did last week.  The pictures speak for themselves.  He really used the water table as an actual water table for maybe 2.5 seconds.  HA!

 Then he decided it was more fun to get in the water table

 and we ended the evening eating a cupcake, nude, in the water table.  He kept saying "I take bath, mommy" 

Last week we all went to dinner at Outback as I mentioned in an earlier post and all the pictures we took from the evening were on my phone and I am just now getting them uploaded. 

 I lauged getting ready to go out.  It was the first time all summer that I actually didnt wear a hat or put my hair in a pony tail.  I through on a little perfume too.  Ha! 

The boys went to the deer lease for the weekend and us girls are gonna do a little shopping and laying by the pool.  Chance is stuck with us doing girly things...Happy Friday!

Summer Cleaning

We had a busy yet fun weekend.  On Friday, Doug, Chance and I went and had dinner at Texas Roadhouse and then headed up to Round Rock to the Dell Diamond to watch the 4A baseball state game. 

On Saturday we spent the day at my parents eating lunch and swimming in the HOT sun!!  Then we came home for showers and naps and then headed out with everyone to Outback for dinner.  My sister and her husband have been telling us that the ribs there are so good and they were!!

 and we cant go a day without swinging a bat or golf club.  I promise you also that we do not ever, ever, ever say "you wanna go play baseball or golf"  this is just his go to!

Today we have been CLEANING the inside and outside.  When we moved in (yes a year ago) the landscaping in the backyard was AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL and now it is still AWFUL until today.  Doug has been working so hard back there just trying to clean everything out.  He recruited some of his baseball boys to come and help.  Me...I have cleaned out the frig, cabinets, computer room, vacuumed and mopped and even went to the store.  We have been BUSY!!  Happy Sunday!

Potty Training

This past Saturday we started Day 1 of potty training.  I was going to do the whole 3 day potty training method but it just isnt for us.  Chance is doing really good going #1 but the #2 thing is a different story.  I know this is TMI but this is a blog to keep track of what's going on in our lives and lets face it poo poo is not our "friend" if you will.  I got a bag full of treats and bought an M&M dispenser that if he pee pee's he gets two lil M&M's and if he did the big boy #2 he would get to look in the bag and get a prize, he calls them "presents".  So cute.  He also has decorated his potty with stickers from using the potty. 

The potty is the center point in our living room and he usesit for drums, a pitching mound, and none other than posing while I sing the National Anthem.  He loves to pretend he is a baseball player and then I scream "go Mats" at the end and introduce him.  He loves it. 
Back to the potty training...we are wearing pull-ups and he does really good with them.  He hates big boy undies...I bought some really cute ones with trains and super heroes and he screams for his DIAPER to be put on so we settled for the pull-ups.  If anyone who reads my blog knows what to do about how to get him not to be afraid of going #2 in the potty please share!!  He will tell me he needs to go and we run to the potty and....NOTHING.  We run to the potty....and again...nothing.  He will say "yah Chance!" but poor baby has to know he didnt poo!  He wants a present so bad...and we know I already broke down and let him get a few of the presents.  :)  Time to hit up dollar general again. 
This may be a summer adventure...and I must admit this is not fun!  I would probably let him wear diapers til he decided not to wear them anymore.  But...I am not...no worries.

 We cover our potty and create a sleeping pallet.  Anything to difuse from the purpose of the potty! ha!

This was day one...I think he was tired of hearing us say "need to go potty"  Now he just ignores us on day 3...

A few nights ago Chance and Doug were playing baseball in the house, of course, what else would we be doing? and Doug hit a ball that hit the door and Chance put him in time-out! I had to snap a picture it was so funny!

We had a busy day today.  We have been swimming literally everyday.  So glad Nana and Poppa have a pool.  Chance loves the water!!  Needless to say we are loving our summer!!
