Looking Back and Looking Forward

Over the holidays I got Chance all handsome and took some photos.
Love, Love the one above and the one below.  He doesnt look like he is an 11 month old baby boy.  He looks like a lil man.

 sweet hands

I  meant to post our holiday card a week ago...so here it is!

My mom got Chance this chair from pottery barn and had his name monogrammed on it to leave at her house.  (it was an early Christmas present) Chance loves it!

Looking back on the last year brings lots of smiles, changes and blessings!  The blessing is our little boy Chance.  He was born in January and is about to be 1 yr old. I just finished ordering his 1st birthday invitations.  I had to pay extra $$ to get them shipped quickly, time got away from me andThis year has flown by.  Our life has definately changed but in an amazing way.  He has brought so much joy and laughter in our lives.  His smile lights up a room and our lives.  We cannot wait to see what the new year holds.
2010 was the best year of our life because Chance was born and ROCKED our world!  In 2011...starting tomorrow...my new years resolution is to get healthy and fit!  Most women after having babies lose their "baby weight" and are happy.  Me...not so much...I actually lost the weight I gained with Chance, but the "leftovers" is what I call it needs some serious TLC.  Working and sleepless nights have left me not so motivated to workout OR frankly eat right.  All that changes tomorrow.  I am going to start running again and eating right.  My parents got me a BOB jogging stroller (Christmas gift) and I love it and so does Chance so we are going to get out and run at least 5 days a week or I am going to commit to doing some type of physical activity if I dont get to run.  I am excited for a new year, new day...new beginnings...BRING IT ON 2011.  I am so very thankful and grateful for my amazing family.
Happy New Year!
Chance is pulling at my lap top - HE is ready to start our New Year's Eve party now.  :)
Better go!

Merry Christmas

We have had an amazing Christmas.  We went to Doug's side of the family earlier in the week and had Christmas with his family Christmas Eve morning and then we had Christmas with my family this morning.  We are so thankful and blessed to have such wonderful families and we have enjoyed the holidays so much.  I have taken tons of pictures of our sweet lil boy on his first Christmas and I will do my best to get them all uploaded.  Doug's mom got me a lap top for Christmas so that I can start blogging more.  Thank you Linda.  I love it. Chance got lots of goodies for his first Christmas.  So much that he doesnt know what to play with first.  ha

At his Granny's (Doug's mom) he got a rockin horse, rockin chair (pics above) and some toy weights that sing, a soccer ball that sings and house shoes (that we all love considering he wont wear shoes) from Doug's sister Julie.
Chance was so upset when his Daddy went outside to throw around the football with his nephews.  Chance would stand at the door and say "Dada, dada...dada.." and beat the window. So I put his hoodie on him and off he went to play with "the boys"

Rest assured the street is a dead end and we watching him very closely.

Julie, Linda and Doug

We woke up this morning and Chance got to see what Santa brought him.  He got his 1st mini coup car!

HE loves to stand in my car and pretend he is driving.  He has turned my wind shield wipers on so much the wiper fluid is EMPTY.  We just figured he would LOVE his car...AND HE DOES!

Then we headed to my parents...My Dad bought him his first rifle.  Yes...a gun...he isnt even 1 yr old yet and has a gun...I wasnt thrilled about this.  All the men in our family are HUNTERS.  Dad opened the box to show Chance (note: the gun is NOT LOADED nor will Chance get to actually use the gun for a few years.

 Its a camo rifle
Uncle Dragon got C a guitar and fire truck.

Nana and Bear (I think that is what my dad is going to be called) got C a huge box of legos

and a shopping cart.  (this is not the best quality shopping cart...we are prob taking it back and getting a different one)

After we opened gifts I was in the middle of changing him and he took off with one of the stockings and I just had to snap a picture
and lastly...he got an elmo that sings and rolls.  He loves it.
A couple of things C is doing now is pointing, waving "bye bye" and "hi" and he will dance to any song that comes on tv or the radio.  It is the funniest thing.  Hopefully one day I will get some videos uploaded.  We will say "can you dance" and he shakes his shoulders and smiles really big.  He even shakes his head like Stevie Wonder.  It is so funny.  And one last thing before I end this very long post
WHERE'S CHANCE??

THERE HE IS!!!
We played peek a boo in the car on the way home.
We had the best 1st Christmas with our lil boy.
Merry Christmas everyone!
