Daddy's Boots/Bass Pro Shop

We took Chance to Bass Pro Shop before Christmas to try and see Santa but the wait was over 2 hours and I was not going to wait that long with a 23 month old.  So we rode the carousel and looked around.

Doug put away Chance's friends til next year.  He was sad.  He came in after his nap yesterday and said "Man, Bear, Deer, Bye Bye"

Going to see PaPa (Pops)

After Christmas we went to see my grandpa, Pops.  We traveled to west Texas, a 4 hour trip on Christmas day where nothing was open except a few gas stations.  Chance was so hungry we got him a little pizza.
He wouldnt let me give him just a slice...he wanted the whole thing. You would have thought he hadnt eaten in years.  Poor little guy.
He has a tendency to get a bit carried away with his food.  It was all over his head.

Uncle Dale and Chance had a great time together.  Here they are pretending to sleep.
Love this man so much!  Here we are eating at Underwoods.  All the men in my family think its the best barbeque around.
When we got home Chance played with his sticker book his Nana gave him.  He had the best time putting them all over himself. ha!
and we made some pretzels dipped in white chocolate.  Chance really enjoyed eating them!

Last night we went to Santa's Ranch near San Marcos.  It was miles of lights that you drive thru and see.  Chance had a fun time.  This is us before we headed out.  The shirt says it all.  "Boys will be Boys"  He would not crack a smile!
As the New Year approaches its time to set some new goals.  Hopefully I can stick to them.  One of them was to run a 1/2 marathon.  I had planned to run one at the end of January and have been training for the past 6-8 weeks.  However, I have a stress fracture now in my right foot.  So frustrating.  No running for me for awhile.

Happy Friday!

Christmas Day

We have always had Christmas with my family on Christmas Day.  My brother was up at the crack of dawn calling and texting wanting us to come over to my parents.  Considering Chance had been up all night and we didnt get much sleep we were a little slow getting ready.  Chance got to play with his gifts Santa brought him that morning before we headed to my parents.

Then when we walk into Nana and Poppa's house he finds this! He loves his "tractee" When we would see one in a magazine or in a store he would point and want one so bad.  I would say "Maybe Santa will bring you one" and he would reply "no, Poppa".  He knew his grandparents would come through for him... :)
and my Dad got him a new toolbox for his truck!

The look on my mom's face is priceless.  My dad bought her an iphone.  She was super shocked.

Let's go guys!  I am ready to ride!
 and he is off!

This are pictures from the night before.  Christmas Eve Church Service.  Chance was sooo good.

Dinner with the family at our favorite Mammacitas.

Chance putting Splenda on his santa.  LOL.  Whatever it takes to keep a child occupied while you eat. :)

We had a very nice Christmas. I cant believe my baby boy will be 2 years old next month!  Crazy!  I am busy planning a little birthday party for him now...

Coaches Christmas Party

Before school was out we had our annual Christmas Party with he coaches and their families.  We had a fun time.  We play the white elephant gift exchange.  We typically buy lottery tickets for our $10 gift.  Last year someone won $25 this year not a single dollar was won.  Sad.  Wasted money.  The guys played pool and ping pong and the girls sat around and visited.
