Friday Night Lights

This past Friday we basically won the state championship game...in our town it is what it felt like.  It was an amazing game, we went into overtime and won!  Our kids and coaches really needed this win.  So proud of my dad and husband!!  :)  I ended up taking a half day off on Friday to take Chance to the dr.  He just cant seem to get over his runny nose and cough.  However...he has perfect ears and no infection we just have to let it run its course. I am extremely grateful he isnt sick.  We did get some helpful things we can give him to help break up the drainage.  He did get a flu shot though.  :(  Let's just say he doesnt like the dr.  But who does.  I love his dr though!  She is so wonderful.
After the dr we headed to the mall and browsed as we waited for the football game that just happened to be in Austin :)
We are coming to the end of the weekend which always makes me so sad to see it end...The work week goes so slow but the weekends just fly by.  Here are a few pictures from my phone that I needed to upload.  My lil boy is growing way too fast!!

Last Sunday Chance and I went to the park because the weather was so nice.  He had so much fun!

Wearing Momma's shoes...and yes it's time for the pacifier "this" to go bye bye
"yo Chance, come get the ball"
Chance and Brae celebrating on the field after the game.  My son with no shoes on...
 "Poppa hurry"

Screaming Poppa to hurry with his interview after the big win Friday night.

Playing after nap time today.  I love him to pieces!

Tis the Season/20 Months Post

I love the fall.  But the fall brings this monster...called Allergies.  It has really hit Chance and I hard.  Chance has been feeling pretty bad this past week and finally after a call to his doctor she told me I could give him children's zyrtec. It has helped him wonders!!  We had about 5 sleepless nights in a row and with my allergies really bothering me too and having to get up early and go to work it has been a rough week.  But things are better and this cute little guy is feeling much better.  We still have a runny nose...over the weekend he turned 20 months old!!  Where has the time gone!?
Here are some funny photos of Chance playing with the netty pot his Daddy uses frequently for his allergies.  Just watching Doug he knows exactly what he is suppose to do.

Chance you are quite the entertainer.  You are doing more and more funny things everyday.  You are communicating with us better too.  You basically understand everything we say which just baffles me.  You are so smart!
Posing before a football game.  I must say (knocking on wood) you have been sooooo good at the games.  You will sit in my lap and watch all that goes on at a football game.  You love dancing to the band music and watching the game.  I was really nervous about this season since you are a busy bee.
You are getting so tall.  Still a skinny little thing though.  :)  You still wear 12 month shorts and 18-24 month old tops.  You still LOVE to drive and talk about driving all the time.  As soon as the car stops at a red light, in the garage...you scream "I drive".  You are starting want to buckle yourself in your car seat.  Very independent.  Yet, lately you have really become a momma's boy.  I think it frustrates your Daddy. haha!
You can work my Iphone better than me which is crazy!  You can say Dale now and talk about him all the time.  It's time for your uncle Dale to come home and see you!!  Whenever the phone rings you say "Dalllleee"
You love watching LAWN MOWERS on the phone!  Too funny!  I think you may be getting a lawn mower for Christmas! ha!
This weekend your Granny came to visit and we went to eat at Cracker Barrell.  Here are a few pics from this weekend:

Chance wouldnt look at the camera...go figure.
Happy 20 Months sweet boy, we love you so very much!!

Praying as a Family

I wanted to document this precious moment before time got away from me and I didnt get to.  This morning Doug made us waffles for breakfast.  Typically Chance and I sit down before Doug does or vice versa because Chance eats sometimes before we do.  Anyhow, when Doug sat down with us Chance bowed his head to pray  (we pray as a family at dinner and Chance and I pray before bed) but to see our sweet 19 month old remind us that we should be praying before we eat was such a special moment for us.  I said the prayer this morning (Doug ususally does) and Chance kept his head down and eyes closed with his sweet hands together until I said Amen.  Then he clapped and smiled so big.  He then kept saying "More More" so we prayed another little prayer.  At this moment he bowed his head and said his on sweet prayer.  I know that it sounded like a bunch of jibberish but God knows what he is saying and hears and loves every word.  My heart melted and I knew we were doing something right...

I took a few photos of this cute little boy before dinner a few weeks ago...I am a little slow with blogging lately.  Until work slows down and I get back into balancing home and work it is taking a back seat.

I love this picture of Chance even though his shirt is filthy dirty...but thats a boy for ya!

Last weekend my sister and her husband helped us throw my parents a surprise 30th anniversary party.  Some of their best friends were able to come from out of town and it was a special day for them.  My parents (my mom really) thought we were getting them a limo...she wouldnt stop asking questions about what our plans were for them.  They thought we had made reservations at a nice restaurant.  My mom doesnt like surprises, haha.
We had fajitas (thanks to Kyle's cooking) and dessert.  Here are some pictures from the night.
Everyone went outside to be there when they drove up
Not sure what Chance is doing but I thought it was a cool picture

 Buddies

I am quite proud of this picture...Did I just say that??  Brae is 6 months younger than Chance but it looks like Chance may be a defensive football player already tackling...Maybe I shouldnt say I am proud...secretly proud...ok I am not proud that my son tackled another kid.  There. :)  If you knew Brae's daddy...big black guy.  It is just a funny running joke that Brae isnt big like him yet...give it time.
 Here they come!

 Sooo shocked!

 Best friends...

Carrie and Julie - two of mom's closest friends.  Also coaches wives.

I guess he is Santa this year...all the kids love him.  I think Chance was a little jealous his PoppA had other kids in his lap.

 Best friends...

Off to nap and grade papers...Happy Sunday!
