2 weeks old TODAY and weekend recap

Today my baby boy is 2 weeks old. I love him more today than I did yesterday. Is that possible? We had a few visitors this weekend. My mom came down Friday after school til Saturday, he loves his Gammie. Saturday Doug cooked steaks and we relaxed and watched TV. However, last night Chance was up most of the night. He was a lil fussy. Today Doug's sister Julie came with her two boys and my friend Amy stopped by on her way back to Houston. I am so mad I didnt get a picture with Amy before she left. :( Anyways, it was a filled weekend and we cant wait til next weekend either. My mom and sis (hopefully my dad too) are coming Friday and then two of our best friends Chelsi and Brent are coming Saturday for the night! We cant wait!

isnt this a sweet pic!?

This picture he is sort of smiling...oh he is so cute! Tomorrow is Chance's 2 week dr. appt. Hopefully all goes well. :) here are a few pics.
Waiting for our visitors...before I could get a good pic of his outfit (it was precious) he did a lil sprinkle on it when I was changing him. Boy, I have to be on top of my A game when changing his diaper...otherwise we are both soaked! ha
This is our nephew John. His shirt says "boobies make me happy" i thought it was so funny
LOOK OUT...Daddy already is giving him a baseball!!
Good night! Will post more on the dr appt tomorrow!

Daddy is it Game Time Yet?

today is opening season of BASEBALL. so Chance and I put on our baseball attire and took a few pics. my hair isnt the greatest but when you finally get your lil baby ready its time to take the pics before he gets fussy. I put on my Connally baseball sweatshirt and Chance's outfit says "Daddy is it game time yet?" Before we were ever thinking of having kids I found this outfit and bought it. It is still pretty big on Chance but I put it on for fun anyway.

This post is especially for you Doug. We love you so much and hope that this baseball season is the best yet! Good Luck and dont stay gone too long at practice.

I love you Daddy.

My lil boy...

is growing up and changing everyday, so that's what everyone that sees him says. I just think he is still so small and precious in every way. We went out today to get me a sandwich for lunch. It took us 3 hours just to get ready to go. Hopefully I will get better at that. Chance did so good in the car until you stop. ha! We were going to eat at this lil place that has the best sandwiches but I ended up getting it to go. I was nervous he was going to get fussy and then here I am trying to scramble to get out of there. Plus it was raining...

isnt he a hunk already??!!

Tomorrow my mom is coming over!!! She is staying the night too. Cant wait! Baseball season officially starts tomorrow and Doug is holding tryouts and then having practice after that so he will be home late and then he has baseball Sat. morning too so it will be me, mom and Chance. I need to get started on getting Chance some monogrammed Connally Baseball attire. I am so excited about baseball season...not having my husband gone though. Good thing he is the head coach so he can set his own practice hours etc. :)

Here are a few pics of my lil man...he is 11 days old today.
This blanket is the one my friend Amanda made him. It matches his bedroom colors. Speaking of nursery I need to take some pics of the nursery and post them!
He likes holding his own paci!! haha

CHANCE WALKER PEARCE

I know this post is a week late but we were in the hospital for 5 days do to severe jaundice and then finding time to sit and type with a newborn is hard. We are alll doing good just trying to develop a routine, well there is one for our lil baby...eat, sleep, poop...REPEAT. :) Today is our first day home alone. Just me and Chance. My mom was here for a week and she left Monday to go back home and boy did I cry. I miss her so much. She was such a help and comfort. Thanks mom for all you did when you were here. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful mother and now Chance will have a wonderful grandma. I think we are going to call my mom Gammie.

Here is the story that lead to our precious baby boy being born. Last Saturday (my due date) we woke up and I was having some major cramping. We ran to walmart and to get some breakfast and when we got home I noticed I was having some bleeding. I was freaked out so I called the on call doctor and she said for me to lay down and see if the bleeding and cramping would subside. Well it didnt so we got all our stuff together and went to the hospital. I am so glad we went because my water had broke (not all the way, but it was leaking) and here started the long labor. We got the the hospital at 11:00, epidural at 3:00 dialated to a 10 cm at 11:00pm and started pushing at midnight and pushed for 4 hrs and he was born at 4:07am. It was a LONG LONG LONG night and I was absolutely exhausted. My poor husband and mom who was with me the whole time stood up the whole time and helped me through this whole labor and delivery. They are saints! Oh and my epidural wore off on my right side so I basically felt everything.

Chance was born January 17, 2010 at 4:07am and weighed a whopping 8 pounds 13 ounces and 21 and an 1/8 in long. Here are some pics of him and more to come but he is getting fussy so I need to go feed him.

going home from the hospital

Chance definately has Doug's skin coloring and HAIR! That's all I remember the doctors saying during labor "he has so much hair" I would say "i dont care if he has dread locks get him out!" haha

His coloring here is still pretty yellow due to the jaundice. He looks better everyday.

Throughout everything I want to thank all my friends and family for all the prayers. I truly felt them! God has blessed us so much! :)

Tomorrow is the Day...Update

Tomorrow is the day, well the due date. Last night we thought it was time...my contractions were about 12 min. apart however they have tapered off today. Meaning I havent had many. Maybe this weekend things will progress or Chance knows that Daddy is away today and he needs to wait til he is in town. My baby boy is so smart already. :) I spoke with my dr. this morning and he said not to come to the hospital unless my contractions are 5 min. apart for an hour and leaving me speechless and unable to walk, oh doesnt that sound fun!

I am going after school to have dinner with Amanda and then home to do some laundry and wait on my baby boy to make his arrival. Stay tuned...

oh and our computer is still with the geek squad at Best Buy...apparently when they said 3-5 days we didnt read the fine print that says they hope to have it done in 3-5 days. Needless to say if this pregnant lady has to go in and talk to them I will. Geez...we need our computer!

3 Days...

The 3 days is significant for two reasons. One it is 3 days until my due date and the other is we are going on 3 days not having a computer at home. (therfore another blog with no pictures! how boring, right?) So once again I am blogging at school, yikes! But it is during my conference and I have all my copies etc done. Not grading though...I keep hoping each day I would go into labor and I wouldnt have to worry about the grading (I was just saving it for my sub, I am sure he will love that!) and it keeps on piling up. I guess I better do a lil tonight when I get home, maybe, maybe not. haha! I taped the Biggest Loser last night because I had dinner with my friend Tiffany, it was nice catching up with her. We even teach at the same school (opposite sides of the building) and I still hardly ever see her! :( Therefore I have some shows to watch after school today.
I am pretty tired today. Very congested, having a hard time breathing etc. The lovely symptoms you get close to your due date!
Tomorrow is the start to baseball coaching school. Yes, my husband will be partaking in this conference however he is driving back and forth each day so he is with me at night. Thank goodness!! I know he is torn though. He loves baseball coaching school and looks forward to it every year. I must say I am glad the time is here...I LOVE baseball season! After last season I cant wait to see what this season brings...plus most of the baseball players I taught Alg. I 3 years ago (which makes them seniors and me feel really old) so it is super fun to watch them play ball!
I am just rambling...more updates later. Just wanted yall to know that Chance is still in mommy's belly and he must be very comfy! I have been walking, doing squats, lunges, walking stairs etc to get him to drop or see some progression...all I am doing to myself is making it harder for me physically to walk because my butt and legs are so sore! Talk about a waddler! haha.
More updates later...and hopefully some pics!

5 days BUT maybe MORE and 27th Birthday

The dr. appt. this morning wasnt very promising that Chance will make his debut early. I have dialated 1 whole cm but still carrying him very very high. He must be latched on my ribs for dear life! :) Everything normal - blood pressure etc. I had lost 2 lbs, yipee! Not sure why, but its good to hear. Dr. Wilson thinks I will go to my due date even past it a few days. As long as my baby boy is healthy I am happy.

Yesterday was my 27th birthday. It was a good day, not much went on but it was a good day. I had lunch with my best friend Ashley. We went to Chuy's. I would post pics but I am at school writing this blog because our computer at home is with the Geek Squad at Best Buy because we got a virus! ugh! Therefore pics will have to come at a later time.
I went to Target after lunch and bought these precious zebra stools for our kitchen. They are more for decoration than anything. They are from my mom for my birthday! I will post a pic of those too at a later time. When Doug got home from watching his baseball boys we changed and went for a walk. A cold walk...it was freezing!
We then cleaned the whole house, dusted, vacummed etc. Needless to say we are ready for Baby Chance to come into this world. :)

8 days...

Chance is due in 8 days...8 days...My next dr. appt is Monday at 8:20 in the morning. Hopefully things are progressing. Each afternoon before I leave school I have to get everything ready all over again as if I wont be coming in the next day. You just never know what can happen in minutes or hours. I have a student that comes by every morning (I dont even have him in class til 6th period) just to see if I am here. He said he wants to be the first person that knows I had the baby. Some of my students before they leave will say "you are having your baby tonight miss" Well I have made it all week. I am not having many contractions but my friend Chelsi who is in medical school said that being effaced 60 % is really really good. So we shall see.
Doug and I have been doing the wii fit at night. We love the obstacle course. If you dont have a wii you all need to invest in one.
Sunday is my birthday, the big 2....7.... My parents are coming tomorrow and we are going to dinner with them and mom and I are getting a pedicure! Cant wait. I think we are going to eat at PF Chang's.
Have a good weekend and stay posted to when and if anything changes...either way Doug and I will have a new baby boy in our lives sooner than later. :)

38 week Dr. Appt.

We went to the doctor yesterday for my 38 weeks and 2 days appt. I get so nervous going to these appts and so I have to have Doug talk to me the whole time to distract me. Yesterday he was doing a lil dance to the background music as we waited in the room. So funny...
Anyhow, I was hoping he was going to tell me I am progressing along...but instead he told me I could possibly go a week + past my due date. Due date is next Saturday...I honestly thought he might induce before my due date considering baby Chance is already 7 lbs. I know they are just estimating his weight by measurements etc but come on man! I am very blessed however to have had a healthy pregnancy. My blood pressure is great, no swelling in my feet yet, now my hands are a different story. If I am cool my hands are fine but when I get hot they swell up.
I had dialated 1/2 cm and am effaced 60% but baby Chance is hanging on to my ribs and not dropping at all. The lil guy is so comfy in mommy's belly. :)
After we left Doug and I had dinner at Texas Roadhouse. One of our favorite places and then we headed home, I took a bath and snuggled up on the couch and watched the season premiere of THE BACHELOR!! Tonight the new season of THE BIGGEST LOSER starts....
I was teasing Doug last night that our lil boy will go to school one day saying "Did yall see what happened on the Bachelor last night" When he should be talking about Children movies and shows.... :) :)

Christmas, New Years and much more

There has been so much going on the last couple of weeks. Christmas was wonderful. We had a great time with our families. The boys have been hunting a lot so mom, Robin and I have been resting, eating and playing games. :) Here are some pics from the last couple of weeks...one night over the holiday's. We went to Outback for dinner with Doug's mom. Stella didnt get to go though, :(

Sitting on the couch at my PaPa's...We were at my grandpa's and Dale and Doug....well the picture speaks for itself and then...Dad was in rare form...Picture of my favorite POPS!When Doug wasnt gone hunting he was putting together the bassinet and stroller...you should ask him how much fun he had, ha!

Here is a pic of mom, robin and I one day over the holidays. We didnt plan the RED and Black we just think alike... :)I had lunch with two of my best friends and their lil ones this week. We went to the Cheesecake Factory...Kate, Lyla Grace, Baxter and Robyn...We had a good time.

I am 38 weeks today...Chance will be here soon! My dad bought him his first golf club this week...poor baby doesnt know what kind of family he is getting into! He will have to be involved in every sport! :) I go to the doctor Monday to see if anything is progressing. I went last week and I had effaced 50%, but I am still carrying him really high...my rib cage hurts! We start back to school Monday. Hope everyone had a great New Years and you are blessed in 2010. :)
