Beach Vacation 2011

We just got back from the beach.  We didnt go to Destin where the beach is crystal clear and they have nice beach chairs, but we did go 2 hours south to Corpus Christi.  We had a great time.  Our one bedroom condo was soooo nice!  Doug, Chance and I enjoyed eating, laying out, eating some more and just relaxing.  Well as much relaxing as we could do with a 17 month old who wants to go go go all the time.  :)

On our balcony...One of the biggest hits with Chance.
View of ocean from our balcony
 Already has the remote control...
"Let's go mom! I have my life jacket!"
Day 1 on the beach.  Chance liked it for about the first 30 min. but then he was ready to leave.  We would end up at the pool after the beach.  He LOVED the pool.  Go figure...  For dinner we went to Joe's Crab Shack that sits in the ocean basically.  We ate so much we dont need to ever eat again...oh but we do...
Day 2...Cracker Barrell for breakfast...one of Doug's favorite places to eat.  After we ate we went to the Texas State Aquarium.  I have pictures from that but they are on my camera and something is wrong with transferring them to my computer.  :(  Will work on that later.
Beach...day 2...again we lasted maybe 30-45 min.  Then hit up the pool.  We were really the only ones there so it was really nice.
He was not a fan of his hat...he would go and throw it in the ocean in hopes that it would drift away.  But the wind was so bad that it would just fly right back in the sand... haha!

 Picture of the year.

Headed to dinner at Niko's Steakhouse.  Take 1
 Take 2
Dinner was cut short because a little someone was not being a good lil boy.  :(

Apparently he was ready to come home...Here he is on the dolly to load up our luggage.  I got up and made cinnamon rolls for the boys and got everything packed up and ready to go home.
"What's that mom?  We are going home?"
check him out helping push the luggage out.  he is such the helper.  This was all our stuff for two days.
Here he is on the way home...for just a short time then...
It was time to sleep.  He played hard and the sun just wears you out.
We had a great time!

Father's Day/Sea World/Anniversary

Doug has been child-proofing our new house and today Chance was helping him out.  Chance watches Doug's every move.  It is so cute!

We finally went to Sea World and used our free teacher passes!!!  We had so much fun.  Chance actually watched all the shows until it was time for a nap!  But all in all we had a blast.  Here are a few pictures from that...

As you can see Chance is sporting a new hair cut.  Mommy gave him this new do.  One day last week before we went for a swim I got the clippers (seeing I do not know much about the guards that go on the clippers and the different sizes, I just grabbed the 3 and started buzzing away)  I got it too short really but it actually turned out pretty cute!  Now he has a haircut like his Daddy and Grandpa.

These pictures are off my iphone since I didnt take my camera in...

We bought a $10 souvenir cup and you could get any drink for .99 refill.  We chose to get frozen lemonade as our tasty, refreshing treat a few times.  :)

Father's Day 2011
We went to dinner and had a relaxing weekend...well the weekend started off not so great.  friday morning we got up and went to help my brother move into his new duplex.  He got a new coaching job!  After that we drove to pick up a camper that we were given by a family member.  Needless to say...I did not want this camper.  It is a camper that attaches to the bed of your truck.  Well 5 hours into trying to get it to fit on my husbands truck we headed home.  At 11:40 in the Austin area we broke down on the toll road.  Luckily our good friends Stephanie and BJ came to our rescue.  We towed it to a secure place and my sister and Kyle came to get us in the wee hours of the night.  We got home at 3:00am.  What a night!
Saturday Doug's mom came up for the weekend.  We went to dinner at Mammacitas in New Braunfels.

 Doug, Chance and Linda (Granny)

Lastly...
Yesterday was our anniversary.  We have been married for 5 years.  My parents kept Chance while we went and enjoyed a massage at a spa in San Antonio, then to a movie (Bad Teacher) and dinner at Red Lobster.  We had a very nice day.  Thank you mom and dad for keeping Chance so we could enjoy our day!

Next week we are off to the beach...
We are loving summer!!! :)

17 months old

It's hard to believe that this was my baby boy last summer...

 Crawling...not walking yet

And here he is now at 17 months...
He sits and watches tv...well sometimes...I had to snap this picture fast. ha!
He loves, loves, loves to pretend drive.  I think he says "Daddy's truck" and points to go outside and for Daddy's keys 1,000 times a day, no kidding.  It is so cute though!  He knows what keys go to what car...he cannot be fooled.
He runs from me when he knows he is in trouble.  This was a picture taken at our garage sale a few weeks ago.  He was running from me and this is the picture I got of him.  Little stinker....
"And if you will look at your right window you will see..."  Our little tour guide.  He will turn up the radio and start dancing too.
Showing me his snowcone tongue.  It's been so hot here in Texas that we have treated ourselves to a couple of snowcones.  yummy!
Chance you are one big ball of energy and we love you so much.

You have become a very good eater.  You love waffles, FRUIT (grapes, watermelon, strawberries and cherries), yogurt...as you can see in the picture he took his yogurt loving to extreme and was rubbing it all over his face and hair.  Needless to say it was bath time after this event.  You will eat pretty much anything except bananas and you arent the biggest fan of cheese or eggs.  You still will not drink Whole Milk therefore you are still drinking formula...going to have to figure something out at the next dr visit.  I try often to trick you and put whole milk in your juice cup and you make the most awful face and throw it down.

You are talking more and more.  You will have a full on conversation with me and most of the time I dont know what you are saying but I love listening to you.  However you will point and take me to what you are wanting if I cant figure out what you are saying.  The other morning I was taking a lil nap and I could hear you in the living room with Daddy.  You came in and climbed up on the bed a few times just to see where I was.  Then a few min later you came in and grabbed my face and pointed to the other room.  I walked in there and you gave me your blanket and catepillar (stuffed animal) and climbed in the rocking chair and went right to sleep.  So sweet!!
You love LAWN MOWERS. That's one of your favorite words.  You are all BOY!  Trucks, cars, 4-wheelers, keys and lawn mowers...you do have a shopping cart too that you push stuff around in. ha!

Happy 17 months sweet boy!  We love you so much!
