Brooks is 18 months old

My precious blue eyed baby boy is 18 months old today.  He truly completes our family and I cant imagine life without him in it.  He keeps us sane and I love seeing him and Chance grow together as brothers.
Looking back at him this time last year - wow how he has changed.  He isnt my chubby, milk drinking, up all night little boy anymore.
He is much much more...he is a funny, active, sleeping through the night (I hope I dont jinx this) little boy.  He is a loving, sweet, tough little boy.  He has to be tough to have a older brother around who thinks Brooks is old enough to tackle and play rough.  We tell Chance all the time "just wait" because Brooks will one day be able to hold his own when it comes to rough housing.  :)  With that said, Brooks LOVES his older brother.  When Chance is away or taking a nap - Brooks will not do much of anything at times because he misses his big brother.  He wants to be everywhere Chance is.  My prayer is that as they grow up - through the fighting (which we all do when we have siblings) - that they will always be there for each other.

He is a pretty easy going child.  He can throw a good fit but for the most part he is a happy boy.  :)

He loves to read books, play on the ipad - listening to nursery rhymes or learning his animal sounds, loves to take a bath and he likes to eat too.  :)  He also LOVES his wubbanubs (pacifiers).  He will have one in his mouth and one on his finger.  Silly boy.  That will be the hardest thing to take away.  We have gotten him to go without one during the day but he has one for nap and bedtime.
Even though he is losing his chubbiness he is still a big boy.  Wears anywhere from 18 months to 2T clothes.  He weighs around 27-28 lbs and getting taller everyday.  He has a mouth full of teeth and cutting more because he drools none stop.  He can say lots of words and does sign language with some of his words too.  My favorite thing he says is thank you.  Its more like "tank tu"  SO CUTE and sweet.  He can sign - "more" "please" "thank you" "shoes" but he says lots of things - momma, dadda, bubba, shoes, thank you, NO, yes - he can make most of the sounds of animals too.  His favorite is the duck and cow.  He likes to play baseball and football.  He yells "touchdown" when he sees it on TV.  (we watch a lot of football) He is so smart.  He can pretty much mock anything we do.  He puts his sweet little hands together to pray at night and at dinner time.  He loves to dance to any music he hears.  He LOVES his shoes.  He will not let us take them off.  Wants them on all the time.
Brooks has my papa's eyes.  I feel that when he went to heaven we still see him everyday through my little boys eyes.

Happy 18 months Brooks Harris, we love you more and more everyday.
