Happy 5th Birthday Chance!

I cant believe my baby boy is 5 years old (turned 5 on January 17th).  Here is a flash back over the last few years...

About to turn 1 and I finally cut his hair shortly after
Almost 2 years old at Robin and Kyles wedding

He was about to be 3 here and had to have his front tooth pulled and the paci went bye bye

3 years old

 4 years old

 Such a handsome little boy

At Kristi and Dale's wedding this past summer
Happy 5th Birthday Chance!  He went back and forth on what theme he wanted.  First it was Paw Patrol and I had such cute ideas for that...a week before he changed his mind to Planes theme.  Whatever he wanted...
We had his party at the Jumpoline place and let me tell you it was a blast for everyone.  I think the adults had more fun the 3 little boys.  (I let him invite a couple of his closest friends that live here to come and the rest was his crazy family and my best friend Ashley).  I acted as if I was still 20 years old doing back flips and backhand springs...my brother did too. ha!  My poor dad tried to cross the trampolines and hurt his ankle.  We were living it up but felt it the next day. haha!
Chance, you have one of the sweetest hearts. You get your feelings hurt easy at times and there are times you are feisty and fierce.  We all think you have neat/special connection with Jesus already at 5 years old. (you told me he already lives in your heart)  The things you tell us amaze me.  I say all the time that I need to write everything you tell me down so we can always remember.  One time you told me right after you woke up that you were in heaven and saw PaPa (my grandpa who pasted away a few years ago) and he was so happy to see you.  I said was he in his wheelchair and you said "no momma (with such excitement) he was standing up walking!"  Chills ran down my arms and tears filled my eyes.  He tells us stories all the time how "when I was in heaven with God before I came down..." We talk alot in in the mornings on our car ride to school and after school and most of the time we are singing and or listening toChristian music - your favorite song is Gods Not Dead.  The other day you asked me why was God roaring like a lion (since lions arent very nice) and I had to try my best to explain that to a 5 year old.  He seemed to understand and I could see his wheels a turning in his precious head.  One morning you asked me if I would go to heaven before you.  This was hard to explain too.  Needless to say, Chance you make your mommy and daddy think.  A lot.  I hope you always have a desire to know the Lord more and more.  I pray for that daily.  One morning I said look at how pretty the sky is and you said  "I know mom, its because God is magical" Yes, baby he is.  You also beg to read your Bible at night before bed.  We are so proud of the little boy you are becoming.

You are a thinker and analyze many things.  You also care and worry about others and their feelings.  You get the worry side from me.  Oops.

You are also very strong willed.  One area that you give us a run for our money is getting dressed in the mornings.  You are very particular about how your clothes fit and what you want to wear.  I guess we all are in some ways.

You are very loving and sweet.  Randomly you will say "mommy, I love you" or "Daddy, I love you"  It's those little moments I love so much and want to hold onto forever.

You are getting ready to start your 2nd season of tee ball and are so excited.  I know you would rather play coach pitch but that day will come sooner than later.  You love to hunt, play sports, be outside, go to school (you tell me your favorite things about school is taking a nap, haha) and spending time with your family.  We love you to the moon, stars and back.  You have a bright future baby boy.

Happy 5th birthday.

Two of his best buddies - Gage and Austin
