Graduation

Friday we went to see Robin graduate from dental hygentist school. We are so proud of you Robin - you have worked so hard! We stopped on the way so Chance could give his aunt Robin some gerber daisies. She loved them. :) At graduation I made a huge mistake in giving my brother the camera. Boy did he have fun though. The pictures he took of people we didnt know...people sleeping...people bored...needless to say our side of the gym wasnt bored. My family was pure entertainment for everyone. I was up and down walking around with Chance. (He is teething, was tired from traveling hot and hungry but wouldnt take his bottle because it was so loud - drama!) We had fun though. We got to meet Robin's boyfriend, Kyle - parents. They are so sweet! Sending them a shout out for reading my blog!! :) After graduation we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and that's when Chance was NOT happy. We ate and headed home. :( Poor baby Saturday we went to try and find a rent house. NO LUCK. :(

Kyle and Doug - everyone thinks they look alike. At Doug's bball games some of the parents would come up to Kyle and say "your brother isnt going to be too happy tonight about the game" so funny.

Chance is 18 weeks old today!

4 months

Chance turned 4 months on Monday and I meant to do a post then but havent found the time til now. Lil man had his shots this morning so he is sleeping. Doug took the morning off and I took the afternoon off so Chance didnt have to go to the sitter's today. He got to be with mommy and daddy. I got the rough shift this afternoon when he cried for an hour straight. So sad. I finally got him settled and he is sleeping. Poor baby.

Chance this is what you are up to these days...

You love to talk - very loudly at times - cracks your Daddy and I up!

You smile most of the time - unless you are so tired or hungry.

In the mornings when you are waking up you stretch so big and make this sweet face (you fuss a lil) but when you finally open your eyes you are so happy to see us - best moment ever

You have two teeth - two teeth!! the front two. you chew on your finger, sometimes your hand and sometimes you try to stick both fist in your mouth - silly boy

You are starting to lose some of your hair

You weigh 16.8 pounds, 26 inches long! you are in the 85th percentile in both weight and height!! Big boy!

You can roll over from your stomach to your back and are working on your back to your stomach

You are starting to ride in the car so much better. You use to scream from Point A to Point B - not fun for mommy or daddy - but now you either play with your lil toy on your carseat or go to sleep - you still cry sometimes :)

You still fight your sleep - why I do not know. Your mommy LOVES to sleep and misses it so much. haha

You arent sleeping through the night but are getting better. You wake up one time and its like clock work - 3:00AM! Your daddy typically feeds you while mommy pumps (oh the joys of pumping) Mommy thinks about quitting everyday but then she sees how much you love the milk.

You still LOVE your baths

We are having to watch you more closely now because you are so active - wanting to move all the time - you are growing so much and we are loving every minute of it! Love you sweet boy!

5K

Can I just say that I ran the 5K this morning WITHOUT stopping! This just proves to me that I can get back into shape after having a baby. Doug and Chance went with me and they were waiting for me at the finish line. It was so cute. My friend Deidre is the one who talked me into running today. I couldnt have made it thru the run without her beside me! It was a lot of fun and who would normally say that about running! ha. Another one of our teacher friends ran the run too. She finished a good 9 min before we did but we did so good to run the whole thing! So proud of us! Here are a few pics from today!Look at this face! I was so red and tired - I was talking to Chance. You can see Deidre in the backgroud. She was like "wow that was easy" lol.

Our AC went out last night and someone is suppose to come fix it today! pray they hurry! It is so hot!

Pray for my sister she is taking her final dental hygenist test today (forgot what it is called Rob - sorry, I think the reb, right?) You are going to do great and we are all so proud of you!! She graduates this coming Friday!!

Someone is TEETHING...

Chance will be 17 weeks old tomorrow and 4 months old on Monday. Time is flying by!

not one but TWO teeth are making there way through!! He is too young to be teething!!

He is helping me pull his lip down saying "look mom" He is drooling up a storm and wanting to chew on his little fingers ALL THE TIME. But he really doesnt seem to be hurting...let's hope that stays that way.

Wishful Thinking Tuesday

Today I am wishing I was at home with Chance - playing, out on a walk or napping. I miss him so much throughout the day. I had a hard morning dropping him off - here's the thing- I am so thankful that he loves his babysitter, Miss Magna, she is wonderful to him she loves him and I know when I leave he is happy. But this morning when we walked in she was calling his name and he recognized her voice and started looking around for her. Broke my heart - in a good way - in a sad way. All mother's I am sure go through this - having to take their child to someone's house to be cared for while we have to go to work. At this point I had a sense of anxiety, worry that he likes her more than he likes me. Why? Why would I think this!? As a mother you want your baby to love you more than anyone else (I sound so selfish and shouldnt be that way), you want your baby to look around the room for you. As I drive to school with tears down my face I prayed that God would give me peace and to take away this awful thought that I am having a hard time shaking. So during lunch I went and saw my baby boy, he was sleeping but when he heard my voice he woke up and was smiling so big. Right then I knew...he knows who his mommy is. :) Thank you Lord for that moment.

This was one morning last week before we left for school and Miss Magna's. He loves Mickey Mouse and Special Agent OSO. lol

Chance likes sitting up by himself. This pic is of him and his Daddy watching baseball I am sure. However it could have been Dancing with the Stars, yes his Daddy watches Dancing With The Stars. (oops...sorry Doug...) With great saddness his favorite dancer was voted off last week. He would vote for Pamela Anderson every week. So funny.

We have a lot of TV shows we DVR. Does anyone have ATT Uverse. IT's the best!! I sure hope Seguin has it otherwise we/I am in for a rude awakening. I tape so many shows.

I also tape my soap Young and the Restless daily and I love me some Ellen Degeneres (she's a hoot).
I cant wait to go home after school and take Chance for a walk. We got the Baby Bjourn carrier I ordered yesterday!! :)

Mother's Day Weekend

My baby boy is also 16 weeks old today...he will be 4 months old on the 17th and I will post what he is up to these days besides looking extremely handsome and stealing his mother's heart...

Today has been a very special day for me. Today is my very first mother's day and Doug and Chance have made it so special. They went and got me my favorite blueberry pancakes from Kerby Lane (this wonderful place here in Austin, I also ate these for breakfast, lunch and dinner while in the hospital with Chance). Chance came in holding a beautiful light pink gerber daisy, so sweet. Doug had a card and a scrapbook with some pictures of Chance and I - he said it could be a scrapbook of all Mother's day pictures. He is so thoughtful. For lunch we met my mom, dad, brother and sister at Chili's for lunch.
Some of the pictures are from last weekend when we went to my parents for the weekend and mom took some pics of us with my awesome camera. :)

This was Uncle Dragon today after lunch. He was being himself...I'll let you make your own ideas for what he was doing...with the tree....Oh...and he hates spit up (like from babies) he says that if Chance were to spit up on him he would throw up himself. We all laughed in hopes that it will happen one day! It would be pay backs for the time he was on my dad's shoulders when he was younger and threw up on my dad's head...at the movie theater...nice!

I want to thank my mom for being the best mom in the entire world...thank you for always being there for me, supporting me, encouraging me, being the listening ear and Godly woman that I will always look up too. I love you mom! I hope I can be as wonderful a mom to Chance as you have been to me.

Precious Feet

Are these not the sweetest feet you have ever seen?

Chance kept putting his feet up on the stroller tray and I thought it was the cutest thing. We were out on our walk yesterday. Not the best picture but it shows what he was trying to do. Love him and his sweet personality.

Has anyone used Gripe Water before for a fussy baby/stomach ache?
