9 months/First Boo-Boo

Party in the Crib
Peek a Boo
Giving his G kisses.

Headed to Clear Springs for dinner (not sure why this picture will not turn the right way - I download it vertically and it turns to horizontal on its own)
Nana bought Chance a new toy for her house.  She thought he needed some new toys.  :)
He likes it!
When you feed Chance a bottle he likes to hold his leg out like this...he is too funny.  He loves to be tickled.  My Ma-Ma (My mom's mom) use to tickle our legs and arms.  We would always say "scratch MaMa"  We miss her so much and she would soooo love Chance.

Mommy love!

Chance had his 9 month check up this past Friday.  We had the day off from school due to our fall festival fair.  It was nice having a long weekend to spend at home.  Friday morning my mom, Chance and I drove into Austin to Chance's appt. and then spent the rest of the day shopping.  We also ate lunch at our favorite place - The Cheesecake Factory.  We were literally gone all day and Chance was such a trooper.  At his dr. appt. he was busy trying to walk and fell into the cabinet and cut his nose all up.  (Pics show his first boo boo).  Thank goodness we were at the doctor's office so she could check the swelling.  IT was awful.  I felt so bad.  Chance weighs 20lbs. 13 oz and is 29 1/2 inches long.  He is in the 65th percentile on weight and 85th on heighth.  He is in the 90th percentile on his head circumference.  I said "is that normal" and she laughed.  She said "yes, its his normal"  We dont even think he has a big head...haha!  It must be all that hair he has that makes the difference!! :)  The dr. asked if Chance is saying "ma" "da" or "ba".  He really wasnt saying these sounds.  He will babble and talk to you but not a big distinction in these sounds.  She said that since he is so advanced in his gross motor skills (i.e. trying to walk) his speech has taken a backseat.  We read and talk to him all the time but he is way to concerned with getting around everywhere.  So of course I was concerned.  I left the dr's saying "Chance say MaMA"  over and over...he would just laugh at me.  He knows he can say it he just doesnt want too.  Boy oh boy do little boys have minds of their own. :)  Personally I was thinking what 9 month old talks??  But then I come home and text some of my friends with kiddos and some said their kids were saying "mama", "dada" and "DOG" at 9 months...Some say that girls talk sooner than boys?  I am taking it that God makes all of us differently and there is a reason for that.  Chance will talk when he is ready to talk.  However, over the weekend...he started saying these sounds.  (Really he doesnt even turn 9 months til the 17th)  HE is just fine.  He is perfect!  Love you sweet boy.
Chance this is what you are up to these days:
Drinking about 24 oz of formula (some days more, some days less)
You love eating your cereal and fruit in the mornings.  You eat it like a champ!  (you still cannot stand peaches though - Nana and I have tried to get you to eat them several times but if it even touches your cereal you wont eat it)
In the evenings you eat better for me if I feed you around 5-5:30 opposed to closer to bed time.  (I can start feeding you more table food)
You are sleeping a little bit better.  Some days you sleep all night others you wake up once for a bottle.
You love your crib right now.  Re-phrase that - you love "playing" in your crib.  When I go to get you, you fall down and laugh or crawl from me.  I noticed yesterday that you have "knawed" the side of your crib with your teeth!!!  You lil stinker
You crawl so fast.  You like to play "im gonna get you" and you crawl faster and laugh.  It is so cute.
You can put your paci in your mouth all on your own (you've been able to do that for awhile now I just forgot to post it)
You also like to just chew on it as if it were a teething ring.
You bite (mainly your Nana and Aunt Robin, haha)
You love Yo Gabba Gabba
When I feed you your bottles (mainly in the evening when you are the most tired) you play with my earrings and it is the sweetest thing ever!!  Then you smile and makes your mommy's heart melt.
You can hold your own bottle....when you want too.  :)
When I go to get you from your Nana's in the afternoons you smile big and crawl after me - Mommy loves this moment (then there are some days when you have had too much fun with Nana and you are like "Mommy Who?"
You can sit up on your knees and balance really good.  I was watching you last night just sit on your knees and play.
You are growing way to fast!!
